Adeela & Zain Wooden Slate-لوح عديلة و زين
The painting is inspired by Al Jirtik - الجرتق, a traditional wedding ceremony and part of Sudanese weddings. The prideful and ecstatic groom Zain dances to celebrate the newly bond of marriage to his beloved Adeela. Zain fully dressed in Jirtik attire performs a traditional Sudanese dance “Mahafala” with his sword, in turn Adila is swaying to the beautiful rhythms of ‘Ya Adila Ya Be-ydha’ ‘يا عديلة يا بيضاء’ (A song sang during the Jirtik ceremony). Adeela and Zain Wooden Slate-لوح عديلة و زين is a celebration of traditional Sudanese weddings. The groom, Zain, dances with pride and joy as he weds his beloved Adeela. Dressed in traditional Jirtik attire, Zain performs the 'Mahafala' dance with his sword, while Adila sways to the beautiful rhythms of 'Ya Adila Ya Be-ydha' 'يا عديلة يا بيضاء'.
